Spartacus Blood and Sand

Below average show IMO. Tries to make the HBO show with lots of nudity, violence, and bad words, but doesn't have the production quality of it's competitors (lackluster writing, acting, and direction).

 

I did indeed. My girlfriend (how ironic) is into it, so I watch along on TIVO. I just can't vibe to it.

 

The first episode was trash. I didn't even finish it the first time I watched it. I finally got around to watching the whole thing and I still thought it was terrible. But for some reason I felt I should give the show a few more episodes to find it's footing. I think it has done a good job of that. I could do without the nudity and the sexual content - I think it is appropriate for the culture and all that but the show focuses on it way to much. That said, the storylines have gotten much better in recent weeks and I am very intrigued about what is happening. It's not high art or anything but it's telling a pretty captivating story.

 

I caught the first three episodes. After that I lost interest.

 

I don't blame you. I think there have been 12 or 13 episodes so far and it really didn't get very interesting until around episode 6 or 7 I think.
