I believe what LT21Titans27 meant by a 'decent speed possession reciever' was a possession reciever with only decent speed, I could be wrong, but that's how I read it ;)

    Well...

The problem is, Andre Johnson doesn't have 'decent' speed, he has excellent speed.

    BIG DIFFERENCE!

Im gettin sick reading your guys's posts about how.. for example..

someone said pacman is a better returner then ginn.. um..

Someone said Ginn cant catch.. just wow. If the dude cant catch why is he playing reciever.. my god catching is something that you can improve on.

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/TikygJwTs1I"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/TikygJwTs1I" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

Please tell me why you guys dont want him. This stuff isent even from last season! Here is on from last season.. the dude is a freakin playmaker in every way possible. You dont need the freakish hands like Marivin Harrison..

    <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/HJGD-af_H5k"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/HJGD-af_H5k" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>

If you guys arnt willing to give him a chance then you dont know anything about drafting playmakers. maybe thats why tennessee has never had one. Vince Young was probably the best pick of all time since we were the Titans.

LT21Titans27 wasn't the one who brought up Johnson ;) But remember, I'm not a mind reader, I could have read it wrong and I can't answer for him

    Well...

Pac was not drafted #6 overall because he's a good returner. If you knew Devin Hester was gonna get you 6 TD returns but not much else, in what round would you draft him?

Compare that to a Pro Bowl caliber CB or WR who also are dangerous returners.

I don't think anyone said he CAN'T catch, just that he doesn't have great hands....and he doesn't. These are important factors because usually when you take a WR in rnd 1, you expect him to be a #1 caliber WR. If you're not sure handed, then you had better be an explosive WR (not just a returner). Since Ginn doesn't run good routes either (for a #1 caliber WR), then he has risk. If his hands don't improve and his route running doesn't improve a lot, he'll become a Dante Hall type player (a 3rd or 4th WR but a dangerous returner). This risk is why a lot of people don't want to take him personally in round one. Others don't want ANY WR because they feel that we need the most help on D.

In college - where he doesn't have to run good routes and can simply outrun everyone - yes. Can he translate to the Pro level with the same explosiveness? We shall see...
