We'd have done the same if he was a Titan, Cleveland is about to end up doing the same with Brian Hoyer.

If you have a QB you have to keep him, there's just not enough of them out there not to. Dalton will rebound next week and keep Cincinnati in the race, but he's now more than ever got a monkey on his back he'll have to shrug off somehow.

 

I think they get their 1 good year this year. Probably make the playoffs and go out in the WC round.

But then either 1 of 2 things will happen:

1) Hoyer leaves this year in FA, and Manziel sucks it up for them and they go back to the dumps for several years

2) They sign Hoyer to a big contract, and he ends up being a 1 year wonder.

Hoyer isn't even a 1 year wonder. he's out there handing the ball to West/Tate and that other guy. Hoyer does nothing special.

If Cleveland re-signs him, theyre going to be stuck playing small ball for the length of that contract.

I wouldn't mind, to be honest. I usually watch either Ray Donavon, Masters of Sex or The Walking Dead Sunday nights.

I'm sure the rest of the league can't wait to watch Zach Mettenberger and Blake Bortles throw a combined 10 INTs on December 18.

 

Masters of Sex is terrible, Ray Donovan is over, and I dont watch Walking Dead, youre just a grumpy little fella.

 

Masters of Sex did nothing in season two. I watch because Lizzy Caplan gets naked weekly.

Ray Donavon is awesome and runs through the end of September. That's football season.

I just have better things to do than watch a bunch of games that mean literally dick to me. We're out of the playoff chase, so I have no rooting interest in the AFC. I watch the Titans get their ass kicking from 1-4:15, workout and then find something else to do.

 

I still think they let Hoyer go for Manziel.

 

That would be hilarious. A huge mistake.

They should salvage Manziel's value while they still can. Try to get a 2nd because no one would give a 1st.
