I would have liked Chronicle more if it wasn't "found footage". They're heavily overdone and I find them rather annoying.

Bay isn't trying to produce award winners here. They're just entertainment mostly aimed at testosterone fueled men who like fast cars and hot women. It's shameless and you need to check your brain at the door but it works, some of his movies make a crapload of money.

That being said, I expect he is going to screw up the Ninja Turtles.

Chronicle was a really good movie.

I went to see Jumper at the theater.

That movie sucked so bad.



Anytime they dye a black guys hair blonde, dead giveaway the movie is gonna be ass. Just check out Meteor Man.

From a making money standpoint, he's awesome.

Then he must be doing something right. He's spending a tonne of money getting his movies done.

Yeah he makes great movies for the mindless masses that want to be entertained by schlock. I do understand it, throw away some money just to turn off your brain and watch cool stuff on a big screen for a while.

Not usually my thing.

Fair enough.

However I don't think ALL the criticism he gets is warranted since his aim achieves its goal.
