drafting a QB in the early rounds would make VY play harder. and we need a young back up anyways.

so we waste an early pick on someone who will be a back up who we have NO intention on starting?

    worst. idea. ever.

I would like to light some fire under Vince's butt to see if he'd do any better. Because, fan or not, he had a horrible season last year. 9 TD'S? 17 INT'S? Horrible. Pathetic. He's on the hot seat...give it a few more years, if he doesn't come around, he'll get the boot.

is vince really a guy you have light a fire under though?

this is a guy who threw a cleat into a wall and made it stick there because we lost a game. this is a guy who flew his WRs to his home town and paid for their tickets and hotel rooms just to workout with them.

every one said "2-3" year project when he came out of school and just about all the people on this board were content with that. now, all of a sudden, he's on the hot seat.

if he fails, it won't be for a lack of effort, it will be the fact that he just wasn't good enough.

you or nobody knows if VY will be the guy we wanted him to be.

we need to play it smart and have a back up plan. i think a bunch of VY fans are scared to see VY get hurt and a new back up QB come in and do better. which could lead to QB controversy on our team. VY will have to be amazing or he will be a bust. The Titans will not allow him to be an average QB and remain the starter.

    I agree.

For anyone even considering thinking that we should draft a QB in the first 3 rounds, WHY? Are we just going to keep rebuilding and never try to add playmaking STARTERS on the field?

If we draft a QB on the first day, or even in round 3, the state of the titans franchise is FUBAR!

Wasn't it Lowry? Anyways, as long as Hope comes back from his injury and is a 100%, we have a good shot at the best safety tandem in the league.

You have no idea how the nfl works. You don't bring in young backups for 3rd year qbs. You bring in an experienced backup qb. I like to think that we could be a superbowl contending team. Super bowl contending teams do not have rookie qbs backing them up unless there starter is in their 30's. As many guys on this board have stated before there's maybe 3 qbs in the nfl now who had more successful first 2 years in the league.

we could still have Collins as well as a rookie 5th or 6th rounder.

during pre season games when Vince leaves the game give the rookie a few snaps. doesnt hurt to have a young backup that may or may not have to take over the team some day. Vince could get a season ending injury, Collins could get hurt.. then who would play?
