i doubt McNair will be suspended..

Sure its his car, but he wasen't driving. Would that be considered irresponsible behaviour and be severe enough to lead to his suspension..

So wait, they were both drunk, and one was driving McNair's vehicle? That's just as guilty IMO.

    Why so hard?

You are not supposed to have a drunk driving your car. Just because that drunk isn't you doesn't make it ok. It's no defense for steve to say yeah he was drunk but i was even more smashed! Steve could afford to hire a limo to drive him home and i'm sure it wouldn't have been too hard for him to have a reliable person pick his car up for him.

Then they shouldn't drive to the place they are going if they know they are getting drunk.
    It's not hard.

No. From what I had heard, gf/wives would call a fellow gf/wife to come pick her up and they go downtown to retrieve their drunk guys. It's sort of a pact the women have to prevent their guy's from being on the front page of the Tennessean.

I say the law is dumb because if you are drunk, how good is your judgement? Some people "appear" to hold their liquor better than others and they "say" with a straight face, and stand without staggering that they can drive. Seriously, I've been absolutely drunk and at that point, everyone seems sober to me. Now I've got to carry around a breathalizer? Heck, I'll be too drunk to properly give out drunk tests! And there's absolutely no room in my wristet for a drunk test. I guess I could keep in the back of the vehicle.

Sometimes you have a drink at the bar while you're waiting for you order at a restaurant. When your dinner is ready, you head to the car, start driving then realize that you are drunk. I suppose calling a forum member and talking to him while you drive home is way bad, eh? (quick Bulluck4dmvp, avert your eyes! Run! and don't snitch!)

Hey, RiverDaddy, can I call you next time me and my, errrr, friends need a drive home?

How hard is it to understand that you should hire a non-drinking driver to get you home from a night of drinking, especially in the town where you have already been charged once before for DUI.
It would be a lot cheaper than hiring a law team to get you off on a loophole AGAIN.
Live and learn, or be a *******...
