Still not sold on mariota

Lol yeah Robiskie reading is like Dudd getting a sack in a game hahahaha

 

The league high PA percentage is 30 vs our 24. That's about 2 PA passes more per game. Not likely to change much.

The article even points out that the notion people on this board have that we run way more than we pass is false. On 1st and 2nd down its a 52/48 split. That's about as balanced as you can get.

I think it's fairly obvious that our playcalling intends to protect Mariota, not just physically but also by not asking him to what he is not capable of yet. His accuracy is a problem especially on deep throws and that's why we don't try that alot.

 

I think the another issue is play design. It's hard for MM to pass when there are only 2 receivers running routes and the rest are max protecting. Doesn't help that our receivers are terrible at getting separation.

 

With 4-5 DBs versus 2 receivers separation isn't easy unless you get a slower Lb on a TE like with Walker last week.
