Still not sold on mariota

Go back and watch the Texans, Vikings, Chargers games last year. Not hard to see what the hell im talking about. Those are just off the top of my head. Turnover worthy throws/plays and they all cost us those games. Also Telvin smiths INT this year is another great example.

Also he hasnt had any stellar games this year by any means. Both of our Wins this year were RUNNING the ball and execution. He doesnt need to be lights out for us to win. He needs to be lights out to take us to the next level. Which he hasnt.

And if you are someone who just looks at stats to evaluate a player, then credibility just went out the door.

 

How do you want a QB to lead the team when he has played with one of the worst secondaries in the league? Hes not a Brees or Rodgers that could overcome that.

 

Well if that is the case then he certainly is not MariGOATa. He is MariAlexSmithbeforeAlexSmithwasreallygood.

 

Brees hasn’t overcome it. He’s been a loser for the last few seasons. With as great as he is

 

Alex Smith plays with a defense that has lead the league in take aways back to back season.

Wanna know how many takeaways we had on defense last year?

The Titans had 12 interceptions last year.

 

I have no idea what he even tried to mean with that.

A defense with no take aways all year, would be so note worthy terrible, it would be talked about constantly.

 

The turnover ratio was 0, but that says just as much about the QB(14 turnovers by himself) as does it the defense.

 

Yea, but that has nothing to do with takeaways.

Clearly you want to have a positive turnover ratio, but that isn't all on the defense.
