Still not sold on mariota

literally the worst take i've seen in all of week 1 football. Eli Manning has special- ed like body language and is just fine.

 

Overreaction and zero critical thought. I'm really not even pointing this at the op. Mariota isn't a great QB right now. But, despite some mistakes, we played pretty well against a playoff team. This isn't college. Lots of season left.

Instead he dove after he had the first down knowing that he would get hit but still get extra yards.

Whatever conclusion you jump too, he has one more coach in him before you should give up on him. Unless it's another Mularkey, then you just need to move him elsewhere and do what's best for him and this franchise.

 

i can understand it but just keep into consideration that we knew Mariota was raw while drafting him, he's gotten better with his deep ball and his decision making gets better every game. He has won more games for us then he's lost which says alot because the game he's won for us he's carried us.

 

I actually thought he played pretty well against a tough opponent. Some clutch third downs, 256 yards, no TD but also no picks. 26 rush yards and a TD. If he had a competent coaching staff calling plays, he'd look a hell of a lot better!
