I think jameis is going to be yet another hyped flop. Everything they said negative about MM is in fact true about winston.
I do think we will get a lot of, lucky first game crap for MM. Just wait for it. It's coming.

 

It was almost like Winston was in TN and not at the game! I bet he wished he was somewhere else. Lol

 

I still think Jameis will have some success. Lets not forget he was without his #1 WR, playing behind a crap OL, & it was his first game... not saying he'll be a superstar, but a servicable starter for a few years. But at the end of the day Mariota > Winston ALL DAY LONG.

 

Oh I've seen it all in comment sections on different sites!

"Mariota only threw short passes!" (Averaged over 13 ypa)

"Oh it was only the Bucs!" (These same people obviously picked the Bucs to win)

"It's just one game!" (First ever 4TD half, second ever 4TD first game. First perfect passer rating ever in a first start)
Don't care who it was against or what happens next, that was a special performance!

And of course Winston gets all these excuses and will be a great QB. Just look at the handful of elite QBs that have been playing for 8-10 years. They had bad rookie starts too! /sarcasm
(Look at the other 100 rookies that sucked and continued to suck. The odds are Winston or Mariota or both end up closer to the suck than to the elite)

 

I agree. Winston will get better. It's rare you have two starting rookies on the OL.

On another note, I do believe the bucs will be picking in the top 5 in the draft next year.

 

Wait, don't we have a rookie our two on our ol too? Poutasi is one of them.

 

Poutasi is our only starting rookie OL.

 

I don't think mariota is a fluke.


There will be bad games for sure, but considering we stomped a bad team like we're supposed to, gives me hope.


Now, can we win both meetings with the jags this year? Because if we do, then the slump is over.

I watched the Jags game. If our pass rush does as well as it did vs the Bucs. Easy win. Bortles looked like Winston.
