Didn't get the Sunday ticket this year so I watched most of the games on the computer so I missed all the little things. How does his route running look? Does he block more like Stevens or Cook? Basically if Cook left would you be confident with him starting next season or should he be the number 2 tight end?

His route running looks pretty bad. I mean, only so much you can tell not being a coach and all. He blocks like a ****ing mad man. No, I would not be comfortable with him being a starter next year. He needs atleast another half to full season of work.

    Kid is awful.

We should have used the pick on a back up kicker.

His route tree has no branches. He coats his hands in butter every time he steps on the field.

    He can block

He is not a receiving threat, yet

The plan for him seems to be a 2-3 year thing. Hes obviously raw with a lot of upside tho

Great blocker. Still gonna take a moment on receiving. If anything a solid special teams contributor

He was on the field often, but was never targeted much. Not enough of a sample size in my mind.

He is the best blocker out of all our tight ends. He was not targeted much either, so I can't say much about that. I know he dropped some catches but a lot of them were over thrown or a miscommunication.
    Ensconatus high fives this.

Amazing blocker, thanks to size strength.
Terrible route runner, below average hands.

Remember, the kid didn't play TE since high-school. If he can get it down, he could be a solid asset. Don't count on it though, sign Hoomanwanui.

I kinda wonder if he could be turned into a fullback. The dude lays some serious blocks.
