Tennessee's Titans Mt. Rushmore of Shame.

Your assigment is to determine which four past or present Titans deserve to be on our Mount Rushmore of shame. The players may have either had a memorable goof, or moment of infamy, See Scott Norwood, or Ryan Leaf, or a very visible career in which they time after time messed up, but somehow remained a Titan, or a starter, but who didn't really deserve to be on the field. Someone like Lamont Thompson may fit into this category for you, or a wr who can't catch, or a kicker who could never kick. You get the picture.

Any individual who has made a shameful contribution to the Tennessee Titans ( oilers will be accepted ) is eligible. Photoshop if you want.

Pick 4 for your Mount Rushmore of Shame.

If we're talking about four specific players in four specific incidents:

    • Adam Jones....enough said.
    • Albert Haynesworth's head-stomping incident.
    • Drew Bennet's drop at New England
    • Al Del Greco's collapse against the Ravens in 2000.

I'd also create a dishonorable mention award, to be shared by Lendale White and Alge Crumpler for fumbling away this year's Ravens game.

Gotta have Chris Brown and his fumble deep in the red zone against the Chargers in the playoff game. Killed a drive that was sure to result in 7.

I'm not letting Rob Bironis off the hook for that missed field goal against the Ravens. You wanna be paid like a top knotch kicker, then you gotta make the kick when it matters most.

If I'm going to pick 4 moments I would have to pick...

    1. The two turnovers in the red zone from this past playoffs.

    2. Young refusing to go back into the Jaguars game.

    3. Pacman doing whatever and Haynesworth with the stomp.

    4. Ray Lewis' pick 6.

I would totally agree with the arguments about the Bironas miss... if I'd only watch 1-3 Titans games over the course of my life. Missing a chip shot for the win is one thing, but missing a reasonably long FG in bad weather when at that point it wasn't even definitely a game decider... come on. That game wasn't decided by his missed kick, it was decided by sloppy play leading to penalties, and three turnovers in the red zone.

I'll have to keep thinking about the 4th, but Lamont Thompson, for his whole career here, Adam Jones, for screwing up his whole career here, and Del Greco, for reasons I don't want to type in detail, but we all know.

Vince Young refusing to play against the Jaguars takes the cake for me. He's supposed to be a leader, and all he does is parade around like the harrassed and misunderstood "superstar". He can't cope with being in the NFL and like so many players before him, he simply doesn't have what it takes be lead a team.
