Terrance Copper ?

Just because he catches a ball for a first down, doesn't mean it was on third down.

 

What Rolltide was saying is Copper probably came in on 3rd down as an extra WR and Brees, unlike another QB we had here in the past probably threw the ball to WRs who were past the first down marker. Bennett caught 36 1st down out of 46 catches. Most caught balls should be 1st downs. Doesn't make much sense to have a bunch of 5 yard routes.

 

Unless it is Andre Johnson.

ive liked copper ever since he entered the league i jsut dont think hes gotten the break he needs to emerge as a possible 2 reciever.

 

Copper, are we kidding?

This guy is a victim now? A super star who just didn't get a chance? Last year he was 4th among Wrs in catches and yards on his team and 5th over all. Of the 4 players with more catches and yards 2 were rookies, colston and bush. One was a third year player like copper. Joe horn missed 7 starts with an injury and with 372 pass completions to go around it's hard to be impressed with a lame 23 catches.

Seems that this budding stud would make playing time for himself and accomplish more unless we are going to deem devery henderson a future hall of famer.

Copper had 6% of his teams receptions. That's pathetic.

Copper wasn't even the third receiver on the saints behind horn-colston-henderson. Actually with reggie bush there you can almost say he wasn't even the 4th on the depth chart. Where does this idea come across that he needs a break to be 2nd?

Maybe he just sucks..
