Texans Defense

They got Wade Philips and will add more talent to defense in the draft, should their D be something to worry about now?

I was worried about them last year but there defense bombed. if they had any sorta decent defense and that power house offense, they would of been scary. So yea I am worried about them.

You don't go from zero to hero, especially with Wade Phillips.

I would love to make a joke about how bad the Texans defense sucks. But then I remember 20-0.

If not for Rusty Smith they would have had to worst defense in NFL history. I'm really not worried, especially if there is no free agency.

Phillips is a good DC but this is Houston we're talking about. They still suck. I'm not worried about them. I am interested to see if they cut Okoye with the switch to the 3-4.

Cushing, Ryans, and Williams are beasts but aside from that they suck. And Cushing might be exposed like Merriman now that he's been busted. And Ryans is coming off of injury so I'm not worried about em.

Until they make the most of their strong starts to the season by closing games late in November, they're still the hapless Texans. Houston always crumbles.

I met a guy at the bar tonight. He was wearing a Texans hat so I felt compelled to speak with him. The first thing I said was, "The Texans huh.. Sorry about that bud." He looked at me somewhat confused like and I continued, "Yeah, I'm a Titans fan. Sorry that you root for a team like the Texans." - Showed him my Titans wristbands as proof. I continued to say "Now that we don't have Fisher we should be guaranteed to win at least 10 games next year" and laughed. He said to me "You guys still have fisher, ya'll got rid of Young."

Long story short, he bet me everything in his pocket (20 dollars) that the Titans still had Jeff Fisher as their coach AND Vince young was no longer a member of the organization, until he found out from his friends that he was wrong and forfeited the losings to me.

Man, I love living in Texas.

BTW, to apply to the thread here, he said Cushing is the problem with the Texans defense. lmao

If you are unaware of Fisher's departure from the Titans, then you are not a true NFL fan.

Therefore this so-called "Texans fan" is actually not a fan.

And the fact that he thinks the second best player on his team's defense is the problem makes me smile. Dumb Texans fans.
