I wouldn't root for the Titans even if Bud passed away and the Titans moved to a real state.

According to Overalls Tennessee never surrendered after the Civil War, which is true, thus, by some strange Texan logic this makes our statehood with the United States of America... "un-official" ...

that's my best guess.

Unless he thinks the only way to be a "real state", whatever that is, is to be a sovereign nation first... then somehow more or less be annexed... I don't know. He must be back on the sauce again.
