Texas Tech hires Kliff Kingsbury

C'mon guys... You knew they wouldn't hire Gray.

 

They were not considering Gray. They wanted Kingsbury all along. They just pretended to be interested in Gray so they can say they "considered" a minority candidate:

I agree. A shame both for the Titans and from a social standpoint.

 

Happens a lot. They all want to look good for the Diversity in Sports Institute at UCF. Except for Texas A&M. Who received an F grade because they did not participate in their study. Got an F even though they actually hired a black head coach

Kingsbury had that one great year as OC which is the type of hire you don't want to make. Like everybody being interested in McCoy the Denver OC as if he had a damn thing to do with Peyton Manning's greatness. Jack del Rio's defense has been a big reason for their success this year.

Kingsbury is 33 and will have to compete with Texas, Oklahoma, A&M, TCU and others for Texas players. Can he recruit and compete?
