Boasting you couldn't sit through a Silent seems kinda like touting not being able to read a book or sit still for ten minutes.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Metropolis are among my favorite films (both silent, obviously).

Mel Brooks made a silent movie in the late '70's. It was about a Hollywood director who wanted to make a silent movie. It was called Silent Movie. And it was okay if you like Mel Brooks' humor style.

Nosferatu, Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, any number of the great Lon Chaney, Chaplin, Gary Cooper, Valentino films.

I can't do silent movies. I can't watch really old movies. Gone With the Wind is the exception.
