    Jumps scares are the workhorse of modern major theatrical horror. As old as it gets hearing people cite it, it's getting that much older seeing it in every pop-horror release..

    I said in my first post most people here wouldn't like this movie.

    The Revenant, John Dies at The End, Cheap Thrills etc. are good indie horror flicks.. I liked Afflicted more than I thought it would considering the tired shaky-cam lost footage drudgery..
