Good read for anyone interested in knowing some of the smaller things about the combine.

From an analytics perspective it's something to finalize a scout on a player... Hardly the be all end all.

If said player plays fast, but runs a slow 40... Eh. What's the ten yard split? Do we have other question marks....

If the player kills the combine and plays well on tape.. Cool. No extra points. Did what he was supposed to.

If he plays well and doesn't really show up at the combine... Take a second look.

If the player sucks but kills the combine... Take a second look but don't magically push him into the first round because of a workout.

    That's it. That's the list.

From an agent's perspective the combine is very important because they're the ones paying for all the athletes training.

Some of these agents have to put in $25-50k on one rookie and have no guarantee that they'll amount to anything.
