Hasn't really been any discussion on the Tournament so far so thought I would start a thread? Thoughts? I think this has been one of the best ones so far with great games and huge upsets. I mean you have Northern Iowa and Cornell in the Sweet 16. And as my name indicates, I am a huge UT fan so I am very pleased to be in the Sweet 16 but we have a big obstacle in OSU, but hey, we aren't chumps either...they have an obstacle as well. GO VOLS!

Well, in the Gotitans bracket group, I wasn't looking too good, but took a huge jump when Kansas went down, and now I like my odds!

The name of the game is survival, and you've gotta be happy that UT has done that...

BUT... I don't think they're good enough to be where they are. They've just been lucky that they haven't had to play anyone yet. You can't fault them for it, especially if they do actually upset OSU- but if not, they just look like another team that made it 1 round further than they should have.

Ask Kansas, Georgetown, Vandy, and all the other teams that couldn't do what UT did...beat a team that they should beat. It's only luck if you take advantage of it.

With Kansas out, my brackets are officially "busted".

I'm rooting for Cornell who I did have going to the Sweet 16. I'd love to see them go deeper.

I don't know why this year I just can't get into it...I've watched maybe a total of 20 mins playing time, a half.

If the big dance was determined by the BCS, it would have been Kansas and Syracuse in the championship game and Kentucky/Duke in the consolation, i mean sugar game. Let that sink in...

Also, the "power" conference in Basketball, the big east, or as I call it, the Big LEAST started the tourney with 8 teams and they are down to 1! It's a perfect example of how a "power" conference plays each other all season and because all of its teams are highly regarded, they get preferential treatment in the post season, only to be decimated by real competition.

I thought the youth of Kentucky would catch up to them but they were amazing last night.

The winner of the KY/WV game may be the first to get to 50. There should be some great defense in that one.

UK didn't let them have any open looks, and Cornell was playing 1 possession, 1 shot basketball. Everytime a shot was put up, they sent 4 players back to the other side of the court to "Snowbird" as we used to call it. While this hindered UK's fast break abilities, Cornell couldn't get any offensive rebounds or second chance points. For cornell to win, they needed to shoot atleast 60% or better. Props to UK for playing excellent defense.
