I agree with SOXCAT, Fisher is a moron, I never ever liked him from day one or the way he coaches. He doesn't seem to be a great motivator, and he is waaay to conservative. The past two years have been pathetic, and this year is going to be a complete joke. Either Play VY or don't. What the hell is he doing with the QB merry-go-round?!?!?! He doesn't have a clue about what he is doing. MORON

Dude...do you not remember 2003, when we were 0-4 and came back to go 11-5 or whatever? Sorry, but it's not that Fish can't motivate.

The past 2 years HAVE been a joke, but Pittsburg went through this as well. They held onto their VERY GOOD coach and won the f*ing SB last year. All we have to do is draft some freaking talent. THAT'S what's missing.

I agree that Fisher has been a good coach, and keeping him would seem like the thing to do.

But everyone can see that KFC sucks, that he is not the answer, and that it is very likely that Volek would have been a better starter.

In light of the comments about not letting fans drive the decision making process, what then does drive it?
The same process that decided KFC would be a good fit is going to decide that the team should stick with him, even though he costs us wins.

Who said he couldn't motivate? I never said that, I said he's not motivating NOW. And he hasn't motivated this team for 2 years now. I never said Fisher was a horrible coach, I'm saying that we need a change because this as far as his era needs to go.

Someone let me know when the Norm Chow experiment is over.

Any chance they make a change mid-season?

Yeah, that was McNair putting the team on his back and carrying them. Fisher is a fruitcake, he can take his mullet *ss and go coach another team as far as I am concerned. Reminds me of Joe Tore with the Yankees. He sucked as a manager with the Mets, then he joins the Yankees who have more $ than God, they buy a great team and now everyone thinks he's a great manager. Fisher needs the players to fear him, which they don't. Nothing wrong with screaming at and benching players when they make bonehead plays. He's too passive..he makes Jack Pardee look like a tough guy...haha

JF is a great coach and a super motivator. The problem lies in the fact that he is not doing either right now or in the past two years. I realize that the guy has had major personal problems but who has'nt. If he can't get his head out of his a** and do his job (overpaid job) he either needs to move on on his own accord or be booted through the door. I personally can't wait to see how he is going to explain this our worst ever performance. Will he take even partial blame? Probably NOT!

The players obviously do not like him becasue they play with no passion or desire. If only our players had the heart of Rudy!

maybe he's doing it on purpose seeing how this is his contract year, he doesn't want to be stuck with a losing franchise that will take a long time to rebuild..but if he doesn't get this team playing better anytime soon, I'd expect him to get the boot
