There is nothing to figure out we want to run the football but just have not been able to. Munchack said it plain as a day early on he wants to be able to run the ball.

It's not a 50 million dollar question we are throwing it a lot because we have been unsuccessful running it and now it is catching up to us. We have and still want to be a power running team. Nothing has changed.

probably need to be using a back that is north of 200 if you want too be a 'power running team'

    its not rocket surgery

Even with his poor play, defenses will always take him into account (at least for now) so you're right, handing him the ball should invariably offer up more opportunities for Hasselbeck. The only problem then is our pathetic excuse for a WR corps simply cannot hold onto balls thrown at them, or at least they have no drive to catch anything.

This team needs a royal kick of the backside and an injection of morale.

I think the situation the Titans are in right now mandates that we need to establish the running game by passing early in the game. I know it is supposed to be the other way round, but that does not work currently. We need to start passing early on 1st and 2nd downs to keep defenses honest. And by passing I don't mean necessarily to keep bombing the ball downfield all the time, hoping that Hawkins or D-Will have their head out of their crapper far enough and miraculously catch the ball.

No it's not. The problem with this team is we were supposed to be a running team so we feed CJ the ball, then we get stuck throwing it 35 times a game because we can't run the ball.

CJ running the ball really opened up the passing attack in Baltimore. He wasn't terribly effective, but he did lower that safety and allow Matt to air it out

fair enough, but the PA would have still been respected at that point. Off of reputation alone. Clearly the cows could give a crap about CJ as they were in a base D most of the game and the little scatback still could do crap. At least the other backs were able too produce against the 4 shell D the cows were in the second half.
