    Would you give up a free college ride? I mean, if someone is willing to pay for your school, books, boarding, and all they want you to do is play college football at the QB position for them?

    Even guys who had solid 10 year nfl careers will still tell you that the 3-4 years they spent at college were the best years of their lives.

    To start at QB for a school like Michigan and to have some success alone justifies playing the position. An awful lot of drop back style QBs had good careers at UM and no career in the nfl.

    Randle El had the best of both worlds being a star QB in the big ten for 3 years and then having a good nfl career as a WR and return man. His QB background gave him a memory for a lifetime when he threw a TD pass in the super bowl. Who would not take 3 years as a starting QB at a quality school followed by 7-8 years as a #3 WR and return man in the nfl?
