No. No. No. You're either confusing me with someone else or blowing my comments way out of proportion.

I did say that Locker has been wildly inconsistent in his time here and that it was POSSIBLE that he was merely in the middle of a good run and hadn't actually "turned a corner" when he went down to injury. And I still feel the same way. FWIW, I really hope that's not the case. I want Locker to be our franchise QB. If he's not then we have to start this whole process all over again. Which would be terrible and likely a waste of what looks to be a borderline-elite defense.

You're right in that I did not expect Fitzpatrick to be this bad though.

I don't think anyone expected fitz to be this bad and I still don't know what our coaching staff views at practice with this guy because in the game, he sucks

    Stupid post.

He sucked. He was a huge reason why we lost today. I don't know how many times have to say it.

The running game isn't the reason Fitzpatrick sucked. It just didn't do him any favors. The completely inept playcalling and god awful execution by the run game is forcing us to rely on our backup QB to carry the offense. And we're surprised he's not been successful?

If we were getting 100+ out of the run game as we SHOULD be (being a "run-first" team and all) then maybe Fitz, even with his faults, is serviceable enough to win us some games. That's all I'm saying.

I'm not saying Fitz deserves no blame. I just think it's flat out idiotic to try to lay these losses completely at his feet when we have a run game that is one slight notch above "non-existent". Sure he's making bad throws and throwing a lot of picks. But if the run game does it's job then maybe we don't have to ask our backup QB to throw so much and in turn he doesn't turn the ball over as much. The concept can't be that difficult to grasp.

I don't necessarily think it's a matter of they think he's lighting it up at practice or anything. It's simply a matter of he's the best we got at this point. Sucks I know. But IMO anyone who thinks Rusty is an upgrade is living in la-la land. He had been here 3 years and still couldn't make the final roster. That should tell you something.

And I think it'd be pointless to bring in a FA. They'd have to learn a brand system and develop chemistry with the offense. By the time all that happened Locker would be ready anyway. Like it or not, we're stuck with Fitz.

Interesting how our running game wasn't much better before Locker went down, yet we were still one short pass away from being 4-0. We're 0-2 under Fitz. The QB play is almost EVERYTHING in the NFL.. our lack of a running game makes our QB play even more important.

The defense has played well enough to win all season long.. so have the WRs for the most part. The running game has not. The games where we had good QB play we have won, while the games where we had poor QB play we lost.

The running game has sucked, but it doesn't excuse poor QB play. Locker seemed to find a way to win. Locker never turned it over. Locker knows his limitations and doesn't act like he's the second coming of Brett Favre. Even if we had a good running game, Fitz would make mistakes and throw picks in the 4th quarter like he did in Buffalo. This clown is a JOKE.

Agree here with everything and the bright side is locker comes back after the bye or I am hopeful of that at least because we need him bad. These two games prove that we need to find a reliable back up in the off season because fitz will not be here next year.

I think if Locker was a season long injury we would have signed freeman to a 1 year deal but since it was only going to be a few weeks, we bite the bullet and move on.
