I think we need to get him signed he's very solid and has potential. Could be a good #2 while our top pick learns.

I want us to sign 2 guys who have proven themselves to be at least decent. If we signed hackett and carter and still drafted sweed that gives us a nice combination of depth, options and security for next year.

    Our WR would be..

    sweed
    Gage
    R williams
    Carter
    Hackett
    Jones
    early
    Davis
    P williams

3 of those guys could be eligible for the practice squad early-p williams and davis and the most likely cut would be jones. We would have leverage in case p williams and or davis are busts and we have leverage in case we lose roydell to free agency next year.

This scenario would hold even if we didn't draft a WR but made a trade for a guy like williams.

Unlikely to happen. There won't be three new WRs on this team and we did re-sign Gage for a reason.

The only guy out there I want to look at (that is a viable option, ie. NOT Moss) is Bryant Johnson.

IMO the best move, and I'm guessing this is the way MR is leaning, is to trade for a proven vet WR. Hackett fits the Titans profile only if he comes fairly cheap. Sure he has potential but he has issues with injuries and he is essentially unproven. I could see MR signing him but only if the price is right.

If he scores a TD in 100% of the games he plays in, I don't care. I want someone on the field--You can't score from the bench.
He's injury prone, we have bad luck with WR, oh and he's injury prone.
I'm not saying I would jump of a bridge if we signed him, but I might doubt the plan

All the WR"S on the team are as or even more injury prone than Hackett.

    -we don't need another givens
    -im sick of potential
    - we already already have BRANDON hackett

i want a Play Maker which means we go draft one. hopefully sweed or hardy.

by the way who is this dj guy everyone keeps talkin about?

Hackett is a good fit IF IF IF he can stay on the field but for the $$$ he will get he does not fit here at all. Although I would love to see him here.

Sweed is not a playmaker. And how can you bash injury prone potential players, then say you want Sweed anyway? He's the definition of.
