So are these test being taken at the combine urine? All the ones I've done for sports have been, but I've never taken one for the NFL. Thought the NFL would have a better way of testing.
Now that I think of it, they do use urine samples. Otherwise why would guys wear fake penises for these things?
I think they made a fuss about any other type of testing during the lockout to, claiming it was "intrusive".
You could smoke today, take a urine test in a week, and pass it... without detox or drinking excessive amounts of water.
I'm sure this will change a few teams opinions of him, but there are plenty of intelligent GMs that understand the fact that plenty of athletes smoke pot and it doesn't affect their on-field performances.
I think it's more about what players are choosing to do in their spare time. No one really minds weed, but it's the fact that guys would prefer to waste their time smoking as appose to working towards being a better player. IMO thats what turns GM's off.
