Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky JACKSONVILLE - The Titans have seen two drives dissolve on third-down drops.

Rookie Lavelle Hawkins dropped a Kerry Collins pass on a crossing pattern in the first quarter that meant a three-and-out and Chris Johnson just had a third-down pass go off his hands for another possession without a first down.

Johnson's was a tough catch, but he should have made it. The Titans had a nice chance after a celebration penalty and a good return by Chris Carr, but didn't make anything of it on the scoreboard.

The Titans can't afford too many of those as they look to string a drive together and move to a touchdown.

In injury developments: Carr is in at left cornerback, where Eric King had stared for Nick Harper and is now out. No word yet on what's up with King.
