Looking back at the latest of Ryan Fitzpatrick's 3rd games of the year I found a nice little stat.

    2012 - 22 of 35 for 208-yards 3 TD's 1 lost fumble - 107.8 passer rating
    2011 - 27 of 40 for 369-yards 2 TD's 2 INT's - 92.6 passer rating
    2010 - 20 of 30 for 220-yards 3 TD's - 121.5 passer rating

The guy may be a wildcard, but he's smart and does get better with time.

I have NO faith in this guy. I just want to be 8-4 with four games left. If Fitz was halfway accurate as a passer, then we would be 5-1 (at worse 4-2). Barring serious injury, we will be a playoff team if we are 8-4 with 4 games left. Our offense will put up points, with Jake back. Our D will be top 10 easily, and our ST has shown that no kicker is safe from getting their kick blocked.

I think you're being overly happy with the usage "does get better with time" - if he were truly getting better over time, he would still be the Bills QB.

2012 he beat Cleveland 25th rated pass D
    2011 he beat New England's 2nd rated pass D
    2010 vs Jacksonville's 5th ranking passing D

Not awful. We don't "need" this game, but it would be great to give ourselves some stumbling room in case we drop an easy one. Raiders is a trap game waiting to happen imo.

I think this thread is simply hoping for the best, grasping at straws. No offense JC, you're a quality poster. But I have 0 faith in this Sunday's game, and that is 100% because of Fitzy.

From what I understand, all 4 of his INT's have been of 1st down. No excuse for that! That's all on Fitzy. He needs to take what the D gives him and take risks ONLY when necessary. Unfortunately since our running game has been nearly extinct, he'll have to pass more to do anything on offense. It starts with running the ball...plain and simple guys. Our D can hold, but not all the damn time. The Offense cannot give the other team short fields (see Fitzpatrick and the ST's). I'm not completely down on Fitzy yet, I'm giving him one more chance...It's now or never beard boy...and try NOT to LOSE the game!
