I'm not picking us to win. I'm not crazy.

However, look at all of our games against the Ravens. I can't remember the last time a game was decided by more than 3 points (other than the 2000 playoffs and the fluke game in 1999 when we got absolutely demolished).

I have a feeling this one will be a lot closer than most expect. All I can ask for is for a competitive game and Ray Lewis' career to come to an end.

How old is Ray Lewis, now? 50? 55?

I wonder what he offered up to the dark lord to be able to play such a physical position for so long...

Those are all games against the Ravens since we became the Titans. Overall, they've definitely gotten the better of us.

Ravens are 6-4 against us in those games and have outscored us 199-151. We're 1-4 against them in Nashville. :sad2:

At least they've never blown us out here... and when they did win (outside of the 2006 game), they didn't beat us; we beat ourselves.

I'm intrigued about this game. If the Titans come out pumped from last week and play a close game, or somehow even win the game, then everyone's tune will change. As far as the Titans (I haven't seen Baltimore play) I want to improve the offensive production from the run game and I want our receivers to do a better job catching the ball. I also want to see Hasselbeck connect on his deep ball. He was off in pre-season and was off last week.

I think the defensive play will improve from last week. I've always thought MJD was the 3rd best back in the league (or part of the big 3) and last week he showed us why. Anytime he had to only make 1 guy miss, he did it. Rice is a very talented back but I think we'll do better against him because A) we learned what adjustments worked and B) he's not quite as good at breaking tackles as MJD. I'm hoping our playcalling is better as well. If we can get to the ball faster when we blitz we might be able to cause a few more turnovers.

I expect a competetive game. Also look at the point spread - 6 points. Jets at Jax for example is 9.5 point spread.

Ravens always struggle against a 4-3 (ask Cinci) and maybe that'll change this week but I don't expect it. Also Lee Evans is still gimpy so they'll be a lot of TE and RB dink/dunk passing.
I also expect CJ to break one or two good runs if not more. Against an agressive D that crowds the line, if he can get the seam watch out. And who's covering Britt?

I will be surprised if this ends up more than a 10 point game and likely single digits IMO.

I can't decide if I want to pick us to cover a 6 point spread or not. Maybe the spread will go up tomorrow.

Obviously, as with all of our other games, our success will depend on the play of our O-line and D-line. I can see this game going both ways (us getting blown out and us winning a tight game). I know we will play better, if we can get pressure on Flacco he will return to Flacco of old form and not put up great numbers.

I think we keep it close, may not win it, but I don't see us losing as bad as the Steelers did. Then some of the haters on here will say 'hey we kept it close and the Steelers didn't...were good!!!!'
