If you're going to suck, at least admit you're sucking. Thats what one Titan did here writes Jim Wyatt.

A lot of the time when a player has a bad game he usually dismisses it with (insert excuse #1 here) and (insert excuse #2 here), but not this time. For a change, Michael Griffin is holding himself to a higher standard.

If you visit @MikeGriff33 on twitter you'll quickly find this clip attached to recent conversations between Griff and fans, for a change the man isn't running away from the issues, he's tackling them head on. :nudgewink:

Through six weeks Griffin is the only Titan seeing 100% of defensive snaps, if he continues to struggle I'd like to see his play-time be cut down some. In 2013 after a rough 2012 season coaches Greg Williams and Jerry Gray reduced Griffin's role and he responded with a much better season than the year before. Should we be playing Griffin less in hopes of getting more how we did last year?

See Griffin talk about eliminating mistakes.

You can just tell he's pissed with himself by his face. Im glad we're not hearing that same tired rah rah stuff Pollard was spouting off before getting hurt. This kind of body language tells me Griffin is tired of this team blowing opportunities (himself especially), and thats when you can expect to see improvement.

So we not only have to watch him suck on Sundays, we have to also HEAR him lament about how much he sucks.

In my experience thats when you can expect change from someone. Hard to get better if you're in denial the way a certain Titan was last year.

Michael Griffin just isn't very good. He can talk about getting better, doing things the right way, not making mistakes but that's just not who he is. He's a guy who will consistently cost this defense. That's just what he does. Fortunately for him we don't have anyone better.

If he was the only one holding us back sure, cut him, we have the money to swing that, but what about Levitre? No way we cut Griffin after cutting Levitre, thats just waaay too much dead money on the books.

I would let Griff play next year...ain't like we gonna be real contenders for a minute anyways. Might as well be frugal. He ain't horrid.
