He hasn’t changed. He’s always a guy who is going to read his cuts, and then he takes it and goes. He hasn’t changed his style at all,” Skipper said, via Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean. “You can’t change a way a person walks. What you can do is just make sure they are walking in the right spots. For the most part he has been doing that. He is not just going helter-skelter.”
“The guy is busting his tail, OK? Everybody has their own opinion about things, but I don’t see it that way. He is a confident guy and trying to make things happen,” Skipper said.

This is the kinda snorefest bullcrap our coach staff spews after 4 yards on 11 carries. Take some accountability. You don't have to single anyone out and throw them under the bus, but saying he's busting his tail and that he hasn't changed at all just blows my mind. At least stay true to bullcrap speak and say "everyone needs to improve, including myself" and leave it at that.

Does the coaching staff feel like they need to protect CJ's confidence? Are they going out of their way to make themselves look bad for CJ? I really don't understand how you can defend CJ at this point.

Edit: Before people start - yes, I do realize that it's not entirely CJ's fault.

I'm actually surprised Munchak got behind him...Props to Munch

At least he didn't deflect. He picked a side, its not the side you're on, so you're mad....

I don't see the point of the RB coach slamming his #1 RB in front of the media. This doesn't mean he's not doing it behind closed doors.

I think he is making the case that it is not all on CJ like everyone is talking about. I think he is indirectly saying what you want to hear. Quit blaming It all on CJ, and the coaches will be working on putting him in better situations.

Did it occur to you than maybe coach knows more about the situation than you do?

I wonder how CJ would do as a return specialist?

If they know more than me they are thinking too much.

    Stats speak for themselves.

"they know more than you" is what clueless people say

No, sorry. If they did they would have fixed it over the offseason. I think our coaching staff is clueless.

I agree with TitanJeff that it doesn't do any good to slam him in front of the media but to say he hasn't changed and is still the same CJ is borderline insulting. I realize that the O-line is one of the worst in the league and they're not helping out at all. I'm not expecting 100 yard games. There were more than 4 yards to be gained by CJ in that game.
