This is why I'm a fan of Jerry Gray

Made me MUCH calmer, actually. LOL!

 

He went pro and started playing against players from the SEC.

 

Our front 4 have been pathetic as a unit.

McCarthy seems to have bailed Gray out a little ,his scheme seems very conservative.

Very interested what he comes up with for the Saints. If we give Brees time to throw he will embarass us.

 

Hard to believe anything Gray says when this unit constantly plays soft zone coverage.

He does that again on Sunday and Brees may get to 500 yards passing

 

Took care of that for ya.

I'm one of the few that actually thought Griffin's best position in the NFL might have been CB. He obviously started out at CB but was still earning to play when he got moved back to S. He simply isn't a physcial player. He is a middle field FS. On top of that he has had shoulder issues which may have made him more timid. But either way you slice it he has made some nice highlight reels for guys like MJD.

Now I like what Gray is saying because he is trying to address one of the biggest needs on defense and that is more aggressive play out of his Ss. We do need to punish guys over the middle. Make them pay. IMO if everyone on this defense played with the aggressiveness and attitude of McCarthy we would really have something. But alot of this is mental. It is an attitude thing. That is why I like Gray calling guys out. Some of these guys need an attitude change and if we want to be successful the next four games and maybe get into the playoffs now is the time to get it.
