Three players the Titans shouldn't draft.

    All three of these players are potential 1st and 2nd round picks....

    1) Mario Manningham- Some have him ranked high but I think he'll be available in the 2nd. Sweed, Jackson, Hardy, Kelly, and Thomas are ranked higher than him. Don't see 6 WR's going in the 1st.

    2) Jerod Mayo- This is simple. The titans shouldn't draft a MLB in the first especially since he's more of a OLB.

    3) Chris Johnson- Yes he has pure speed but that's it. Can't make people miss and just plain "avoiding" skills are average. He's fast but doesn't always translate to on field success.

    This being said their is 1 player that I really like and I think the Titans could draft in the rounds 3-4. That's Steve Slaton. He's very fast, can catch the ball, compliments a big back like Lendale, and he's a player that can help Vince on 3rd downs instead of having to throw to White on 3rd and long.

    Darren McFadden makes less cuts, less people miss, and breaks less tackles than Chris Johnson. But I bet nobody would argue that we take him if he was there. He's a pure speed player. Far more so than Reggie Bush was.

    Not sure where you got that he can't make people miss. He makes tons of them miss, bounces off tackles, and makes perfect cuts. His vision is crazy.

    Now compare that, with this:

    I wish I could find a YAContact stat with McFadden. I haven't seen the guy break more than 5 tackles. Possibly the most over rated running back of all time. Notice in every highlight, he's only running to the outside trying to outrun everyone. The times he does get caught or run in to someone, he falls down.

    Unless he has 5ft gaps to run through in the nfl, I'm calling the bust early.

    I agree with the first 2 but Johnson looks pretty good to me right now. I don't think we should go RB in the 1st but I agree with Gloat that he will be better than McFadden. McFadden is better than Bush, but so am I.

    In the Youtube highlight above Johnson is playing against UNC, Houston, Southern Miss., etc.

    And the UNC, Houston, Southern Miss., etc. fronts are playing against ECU's piss-poor O-line. So, it evens out.

    It doesn't even out because he's still a far superior athlete to the defenders he's playing against. He's breaking the tackles and outrunning guys who don't even get invited to the combine. And are ya'll serious when you say chris johnson will be better than DMC? Mcfadden put on a show against an lsu defense that at least has 8 guys who will play in the nfl. And you guys act like chris johnson is a strong back, the guys weighs less than reggie bush.
