Time for Troupe to Become Offensive Weapon

Bo Scaife is a great tightend he step up for vince last year, he had 29 receptions for 370 yards last year. He is a little small and he need to work on his pass protection a little more but i love to see him outhere trying to make catches and stuff. He will eventually be a great tight end in the future.. GO TITANS..

 

I think Scaife is going to pan out much better than troupe. Unfortunately, I believe that troupe was mostly hype...I hope I am wrong, though, hes a good kid.

 

I think this is absolutely right. I would only add that if Chow utilizes Troupe as a seam weapon, his YPC should be around 14 or so. They need to find ways to hit Troupe in the open field. When he sees the hit coming, he's as good as anyone at getting extra yards. It's his best strength. He doesn't go down easy when he has a chance to prepare himself. But instead we hit him right in front of safeties and LBs...on one yard out patterns?

 

We keep hoping Troupe steps up because of potential, but it seems to me Scaife is more reliable and productive. I thought VY and Scaife were gelling very well near the end of last year.

 

Every quarterback needs a "go to guy." And, it seems that VY and he have found that comfort level with each other.

 

We have a lot of depth at TE, and we need a DE..I know it will sound almost as heresy around here, but I would not be surprised to see Troupe traded for a DE..Between Scaife, Hartsock, Petrowski and Cooper Wallace and with Moulds acting as a go to guy we have a lot of difficult choices to make..
