If Griffin can block a couple of punts (as he should be able to do) that could easily make up for any loss of return yardage we'll have. But we should see a loss in the return game... Pac was great. We did have better blocking last year, but even with good blocking the returner needs to make 2 or 3 people miss, and he had a knack for it.

Actually Finnegan has looked good in the few chances he has had. Finding return guys that are better than just good seems like a stroke of luck most of the time IMO. Many guys who are successful in college end up being average and it always seems like a guy who maybe wasn't even known as being an awesome return guy in college can sometimes breakout in the NFL. I think we will be OK, it remains to be seen if we can even come close to where we were with Pac.

I think one of his returns last year he made 11 people miss, hell it might have been more than 11. Jacksonville IIRC.

The amazing thing to me is the difference between pac's returns and most other returners. Hester makes maybe 1-2 people miss per long return. Pacman does much more doubling back and juking. If you have good blocking and a speedy returner, you don't need to have a guy who makes as many people miss as pac does.

Pacman was the best I'd ever seen. Seriously. He was amazing. He was slippery, and looked strong in breaking tackles, especially for his size. He could start or stop at will and change directions without losing speed. Simply amazing. I'll miss that more than his CB ability, to be honest. Sad.

Maybe Pacman will get an acting role in "The Longest Yard III". He might be the best football player in prison some day.

Jeremy Bloom anyone, how did that turn out again? Too early to say he is a bust, but a guy who can't play WR, and doesn't make it out of preseason, doesn't seem to be a good pick to me. I still think they only picked him because the Olympics had just ended...
