Titans add tight end, receiver to roster

    The Titans have added tight end Joey Haynos and wide receiver Marcus Harris to their rooster.

    The 6-8, 270-pound Haynos has two years of NFL playing experience with Miami. He’s played 23 career games and recorded 21 receptions, 184 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

    Last season, he spent the year on injured reserve with a foot injury after playing in all 16 games in 2009 — totaling eight starts, 19 receptions and two touchdowns.

    The 6-1, 189-pound Harris spent part of last season on Detroit’s practice squad. He was originally signed by the Lions as an undrafted free agent from Murray State in 2011 and was waived at the end of training camp.

    At Murray State, Harris ended his college career as the school’s all-time leader in receptions (216) and receiving yards (2,471), and was second in touchdowns (21).

    I would really like us to keep some kind of TE close by in case Cook goes down and Taylor can't hack it yet. This is the only real scenario that scares me. Having no real threat at TE is never a good thing.

    We have 90 players right now, about 30 of them will be cut and 7-8 will go to the practice squad. Problem with that is we'll be cutting some quality players this year, gonna be interesting to see who sticks.

    IDK if we'll be able to keep 4 TE's. No way we try to sneak Thompson onto the practice squad, we know good players will get snatched away if we try that (see Fisher vs. Blount case 2010 idiot vs the people)
