The Titans added wide receiver Devon Wylie to the practice squad on Tuesday and waived linebacker Brandon Copeland from the practice squad.

The 5-9, 187-pound Wylie was a fourth-round draft pick of Kansas City in 2012, and he posted six catches for 53 yards in six games. Wylie, who played collegiately at Fresno State, also returned two punts and nine kick-offs.

The Chiefs waived Wylie following training camp this year, and he’s spent time on the practice squads of Arizona and Pittsburgh.

According to the NFL combine stats the kid ran 4.3, had a 39" vert, and hit 225 17 times, not bad at all for a 5'9 187 lbs receiver. I'll keep an ear out for him. I'd wager the team isn't unhappy with D-will at all. They probably always knew he was a temporary fix until someone they liked better became available. As we know they hate to use starters as returners so it would seem that Wylie will get his shot.

I think it is more to have a long term plan. Probably a guy they liked. Also could use an extra WR in practice with Preston gone. And LB is getting healthier so not as much need there.
