Titans all wearing #9 first week of the season????

Yea they did... and they got burned.

 

I heard a marketing guy on the radio said a fan suggested that instead of marking the 10 yard line we label the 9, which would be against league regulations, couldn't we mark both?

 

We could always put Young back there. He is not really a QB anyways.

 

I was thinking they should paint the number 9 in the middle of the field or in the end zones. I'm on board with the decal on the helmet or the patch on the jerseys but IMO the number 9 on the field is more symbolic for home games. We all remember Mac for the type of player he was on the field,what better way to honor him then putting his number on the field in which we all remember him most by and where his legacy all began.....

 

It all seems so simple.

Just put a "number 9" patch on each jersey for the entire season.

No disrespect to Steve McNair, but there's no need to play this up too much.

Put Young under center. He looks up, points to the sky, then scrambles 60 yds for a TD. Then put Kerry back in, and let Vince go back to earning his spot.

 

really? is it the same? do they do it in a memorial service or do they fly into a war zone and subject themselves to enemy aircraft and surface to air missile batteries?

Playing with one less DB is just asking to spot the other team 6 and get your offense out to play catch-up.

it's just my opinion TBC. If I was a dead player and I saw my team attempting "honor" my memory like that I'd be pissed.
