Titans consider some WR shuffling

    With receiver Damian Williams (hamstring) out for Sunday’s game, and with receiver Lavelle Hawkins (ankle) listed as questionable on the team’s Injury Report, Coach Mike Munchak said the Titans are considering promoting receiver Michael Preston from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

    Such a move might require the Titans putting Williams on Injured Reserve.

    Hawkins said on Friday he feels good, and is ready to play. Hawkins hasn’t played since the Oct. 28 game against the Colts. But Munchak said the Titans have also been impressed with Preston, who was on the team’s practice squad last season as well.

    “(Preston) has done a great job, and he has really worked hard,’’ Munchak said. “He’s a guy who could help you on special teams, too, and he understands our offense pretty well.”

    I would actually like to see Preston play vs some starters. The dude is tall as hell, so even if he's only an average athlete you could still just toss it up to him.

    If this guy has been buried on the PS for 2 years and he has any talent at all MM should be forced too resign, and take RW and MR with him.

    Yea our receivers are Justin Gage bad this year.

    Aside from 2 or 3 miracle grabs, they've sucked!
