Bart Scott is a backup LB on the Ravens, he has been playing pretty good while Ray Lewis has been out, he is definately an upgrade over sirmon or kassel.

trading a HIGH first for Rivers would be a bad move, trading a late second or later MIGHT be a good move. Rivers has proven nothing and would just be another development type player.

Last Time Rivers ran a timed 40 Sadam Hussein was in charge of Iraq.

Just think a High 1 is way too much for Rivers at this time.

Agreed. Rivers hasn't proved anything and would be no different than a rookie QB. This BS about him having a shorter learning curve is just that - BS. You don't know how smart this kid is. There's no way that we will get Rivers for just a mid first, btw. San Diego will look to get a whopping amount for him. Plus, there's that contract he signed....

Rivers for anything earlier than a 2nd is pure stupidity on our part. Rivers is now 24, not played a snap in 2 years. So basically we are drafting a 24 year old QB who hasn't played in 2 years. No matter how good he is, that's the facts. A new guy out of college with recently playing experience, young. It wouldn't be value for the draft pick.
