Titans Cutdown to 53/Practice Squad Thread

The Titans have signed former Vanderbilt tight end Brandon Barden to their practice squad. The Titans released Barden, an undrafted free agent who was injured for much of training camp, on Friday.

Also signed to the practice squad:

• Defensive tackle Zach Clayton
• Receiver Michael Prestion
• Safety Tracy Wilson
• Fullback Collin Mooney

The Titans still have three spots open on the practice squad.

Clayton is the only one of these guys with a remote shot at seeing an NFL field ever again. Dominique Edison was much much better than Preston, whatever happened to that guy?

BORING!

 

What was so great about Michael Preston this camp? He had one catch for 9 yards all preseason.

Somebody asked why Douzable was placed in IR. Simple, he was hurt playing for the Titans so they have a financial obligation to him and on IR he gets a pay check all year.

 

Mooney isn't half bad

 

I agree, there's no upside in Preston, I'd rather have a guy who's proven to do something in the preseason or big time college football. Guys like Marvin McNutt, Jordan Shipley, Jeff Fuller, Jeff Maehl, Danny Coale, BJ Cunningham, Deon Butler etc

 

So are the Titans going with 4 RB's? CJ, Ringer, Harper and Reynaud???

 

Was glad to see Mooney make the practice squad.

 

5 WRs, 3 RBs and a returner.

 

I can see Reynaud coming in on some special offensive plays like end o rounds..etc

 

This RB cluster probably is only until week 2 when Britt returns. I'd lose Ringer and go heavy on D (26). Also, if a better option than Harper came available.... But I guess in general I look at it this way: Reynaud & Harper together > Ringer.
