Starting in 2014 the Titans brought in a new head coach Ken Whisenhunt who said he expected the team to compete in the postseason after being near .500 in 2013. Instead the team sank to the league basement and a big reason why was QB Jake Locker who struggled to play well and constantly dealt with injuries and GM Ruston Webster who also struggled to put together a competitive roster.

2014 & 2015 were the worst ever to be a fan of the team and much more so than 2004 & 2005 exactly ten years prior. Ten years prior the team was dealing with cap issues but still had talent and however the latter day one the cupboard was close to bare due to Ruston Webster's failure to pick good players and wouldn't be as easy to fix. One good pick he did make was QB Marcus Mariota an improvement over Locker. Then after the 2015 Webster was replaced by a new GM Jon Robinson.

Heading into the 2016 season the Titans had come off of two straight years with the leagues worst record. But the Titans now have a new GM and a QB who is playing well for a young leader. Due to good drafting Jack Conklin and free agency moves like RB Demarco Murray the team is doing well. Robinson in short order has fielded a competitive roster and the team is winning games again.

I've argued with many fans of different teams that said we were one of the worst teams not just recently but period. They would say we were on par with the Browns,Jaguars,Lions,Bills, etc. that is dead wrong those teams did barely anything the Bills no postseason for 15 years,Browns one postseason in 15 years, Lions two postseasons in 15 years,Jaguars with two postseasons in 15 years, etc. The Browns and Jaguars haven't had a winning season in ten years.....

Meanwhile we've had a winning season as recently as 2011 plus in the last 15 years the Titans had the league's best record on two seperate occasions alone not to mention seven winning seasons, six postseasons that included two AFC championship and one Super Bowl appearances. What was just described is way better than all the teams mentioned and its not close. Anyway its a fact.

    I wouldn't say QUICKLY.

Plus, wait until the end of the season to say this, the beginning of our schedule was the easy portion.
