I think you have two individuals who, if brought together, would both have the success of the team first in their hearts. If they were not former players of this team, I might be more concerned about the friendship...but honestly coaches bring in friends, sons, etc.

 

Now we just need Logan Mankins.

I don't think so. If I were an assistant coach, I'd be damn sure I performed to the level that I think Matthews will as an O-line coach. I'd also be sure to burn the midnight oil to shine bright and win some favor with Munchak. I don't see it as potentially divisive unless the O-line sucks next year and I just don't see that happening.

Signing Matthews would definitely create some momentum and buzz.

 

That would be a huge improvement to the Oline, and with those two we sould have an outside chance of pulling it off. but that should be the case with most olineman now

 

does it seem odd to anyone else to have a father coaching a son in the nfl?
