    I will be honest...

I wanted him as the HC after we canned the Fish. Now that hes already on staff, that seems more likely.

The only Oilers/Titans connection I would welcome back is Schwartz, Washburn, and Gregg Williams..

So I can't complain over this.

    What's his official title?

    Bounty coordinator?

Chief assistant head coach with an emphasis on 1st team defensive operations and play calling?

    That's implied.

If you don't know that, you aren't a Titans fan.

and the next season when we were actually ranked 1st ahead of Baltimore when people claimed they "had one the greatest defenses in NFL history."

Of course, they won the Superbowl though.

I'd rather be known as a chipy/dirty defense, than whatever that was we put on the field this past season. Williams' over aggressiveness at times combined with Gray's 10 yd. cushions may come together to make.....an average defense. Miles from where we were last year.

His official title is interim head coach in week 13 when we have 2 wins he will then institute a bounty on Gray and Dowell. Griffin will cash in on both by trying to make routine tackles and completely whiffing and taking them out on the sidelines.

I actually like the hire. Our defense has a ton of young talent if we could add some depth and a few more pieces. Zach Brown, Akeem Ayers, and Colin McCarthy are some of the best, young LBs in the game as long as McCarthy can stay healthy. Mike Martin, Jurrell Casey, Alterraun Verner, Tommie Campbell, Jason McCourty.. we have a lot of solid pieces. We need a dominate DE and a dominate safety and then add a couple of solid contributors and we will be good.
