Jason Campbell is fine as a vet backup QB. People who say he sucks are ignorant.

    Career 82 passing rating.

    60% comp rate.

    76-52 TD to int ratio.

Not starting caliber but certainly backup caliber. How is that not? Did not play well in his one start last year for the Bears but his rating for the Raiders in 2010 and 2011 was in the mid 80s.

People who say Campbell only handed off to 2 great RBs at Auburn are also ignorant.

In 2004 he completed 70% of his passes with 20 Tds and only 7 ints. He finished 7th in the heisman voting. He was a damn good college QB.

Again his credentials are very suitable for an nfl backup and at age 31 he is the right guy to bring in.

Campell would have been a decent backup in stead of Fitz. His is somewhat mobile meaning we could run the same type of offense that Locker runs if Campbell has to step in sometime.

But we went ahead with Fitz, which is fine. He is probably a better backup anyway. Hopefully he can push Locker a bit, as now he has someone who could take his starting spot.

I am cool with Jason Campbell to replace Rusty as our third string provided he takes the minimum.

I agree with hammer. QB by committee. 3 mid level, barely worthy of starting QBs.. maybe one will pan out.
