Titans make Egboh roster move official

The Titans welcomed back a familiar face on Wednesday, as they re-signed defensive end Pannel Egboh after placing defensive end Keyunta Dawson (hamstring) on injured reserve.

Egboh made the 53-man roster out of training camp but was cut after the first game.

“He’s so familiar with what we’re doing that he’s the kind of guy that can come in on a short week and help us if he has to with some reps,” Munchak said of the 6-foot-6, 287-pound Egboh. “He gives you a little bigger end and he can go inside if he had to in a game if there were injuries. Plus we know him and we’ve seen him improve the last couple of years. We’re lucky he was still available.”

Munchak praised Dawson for being a surprise inclusion on the original 53-man roster, but said the hamstring injury might have sidelined him for as many as eight weeks.
