They can't catch it when the ball is thrown behind them or not even in the same zip code. I mean did you watch that mess? Young couldn't throw and when Collins came in Jones/Williams couldn't catch.

I wouldn't object to tweaking his throwing motion, as Gloat said it's not like he'll get any worse.

Actually, Vince could be rex grossman or byron leftwitch. They are terrible. Vince is going to be fine, but no one would want to say anything positive about vince now would they?

Did I not just say the ball didn't get to the WRs some of the time? Yes, it was a bad game, but they are learning a REAL NFL playbook now. Not the watered down crap Chow used. They will struggle at first with timing. Add in the fact we just got J-Mac back, and of course the chemistry was going to be off. It's the second game of the preseason. Don't freak out.

Vince did look like doody. It is the preseason, but like Eddyc said earlier, it looks like they're having trouble in the same areas we had trouble with last year, timing, pass accuracy, and dropped passes. I'm not going to freak out because it is the preseason and they are learning a new playbook. And JMac could have caught that deep ball, he just didn't even go for it. Maybe he stumbled or something, but he definitely could have caught that ball. Christ I hope our passing threat is more threatening by week 1 vs the Jags; that's a crucial game against probably our biggest competition for getting to the postseason again.

keep in mind that there are usually adjustments that QB's go through when coordinators change. let's give him 'til week 4 - then put him on notice

couldn't complete passes with a watered-down Chow playbook, what makes you think he can handle Dingers REAL NFL playbook? Maybe there was a reason it was watered-down?

He was over 60% last year with just about no one out there. If we could get a #1 WR, we could have a good passing game. Instead, we have to deal with second rate targets. Either way, we are a running team, not a passing team.

it wasn't a secret that modifications were made for his benefit
and it seemed to make him worse
don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting him to execute HD's offense with surgical precision any time soon. He's going to have to get some more of the basic elements under control first

I'm pulling for him, I want him to be the double-threat, but it'll be a slow process ... much like McNair's

Count me as one of the people not very excited about having "J-Mac" back. He's... not that good.

Yea it is the 2nd game of pre season but it's just how our offense has looked pretty much all of last year.

He's better than everyone else except for Gage and maybe RW.

Our offense is going to be solid this year. We will have a strong running game, and we will have a decent passing game. Dinger is going to make VY into a Top 5 QB within 3 years. Just wait and see.
