    Is there an agreement with the owners they cannot talk to a head coach without permission from the other owner? I always thought if they upgraded the title they could offer a job. Dallas would have to offer Fisher head coach and assistant GM to upgrade his title, but I thought they could do that.

    Payton's locked in New Orleans for awhile... don't know the contract details, but from instict I think he's got more there going for him than in the big D

    yes, i believe it's in the CBA. if they dont have permission and begin to make a deal that would be considered tampering and would cost the franchise a draft pick.
