there are some safe players in drafts- like last year, everyone knew the safest player would be AJ Hawk, because he already had a high floor, and played with an NFL physicality and NFL intensity- this year I would say the safe player is Laron Landry...

That's because I didn't list every player taken at each position in the first round as you did with WR's. I only listed the obvious busts. I thought you may have picked up on that.

Well if you have about 30 more busts over the last 10 years, and only 6-7 successful players at these positions, then I'd like to hear them

    Really?

Please list the players that were available and had higher grades than Woolfolk when we took him?

i dont remember how the "experts" had guys graded four years ago, but i can tell you who i would have prefered at the time.

rashean mathis(i would have put him at FS though), charles tillman and ej henderson.

asomugha is really turning into a player as well. Mathis is the guy I wanted

We just flat out missed on that pick.

The big difference is 5 needs vs. 1 need

    5 needs = value picks

1 need = Schobel, LaBust, and Odom

Okay. Then enough of this BS because your point doesn't hold water. But just to amuse you, I'll list the bust at CB because it is the only other positin that will have the numbers in the first round.

    ABSOLUTE BUSTS
    Alex Molden (10)
    Bryant Westbrook (10)
    Tommy Knight (10)
    Michael Booker
    Chad Scott
    Chris Canty
    Duane Starks
    Terry Fair
    RW McQuarters
    Fernando Bryant
    Deltha O'Neal
    Rashard Anderson
    Will Allen
    Willie Middlebrooks
    Jamar Fletcher
    Phillip Buchanon
    Michael Rumph
    Andre Woolfolk
    Sammy Davis
    Ahmad Carrol
    Carlos Rodgers
    Ahmad Plummer
    Quentin Jammer

    That's 23 players.

BUSTS BASED ON WHERE SELECTED AND AMOUNT CONTRIBUTED. Just about as serviceable as Reynaldo Hill.

    Walt Harris
    Shawn Springs
    Antoine Winfield
    Charles Woodson
    Terrance Newman

    That's 5 players

To BE JUDGED LATER BUT NO PRO BOWL APPEARANCES.

    Marcus Trufant
    Nnamdi Asomughu
    Dunta Robinson
    Chris Gamble
    Andam Jones
    Antrell Rolle
    Fabian Washington
    Marlin Jackson

    That's 8 players

    TO LEVEL PERFORMERs

    Champ Bailey
    Chris McAllister
    Nate Clements
    Lito Sheppard
    DeAngelo Hall

That's 5 Players and a 12% chance of drafting a special player in the first round. That's 5 players out of 41. I can name you 5 special CB's who weren't drafted in the first round. That would be Ronde Barber, Ken Lucas, Sheldon Brown, Rasean Mathis and Leigh Bodden.

Stop with the BS. The draft is a crapshoot and WR is no harder to evaluate than any other position.
