Thats true maybe Marks stays for a reasonable deal or Klug does by default but based on his PT last year he seems to have one foot out the door, not sure if his play dropped off that much or what happened after a nice rookie season.

I totally agree on all points. Klug can definitely get after the QB but he's not stout enough to play DT, much better suited to rush off the edge. And we should totally lock up Cook long-term.

Why not? We have already offered Canty a contract and we met with Marks agent yesterday, which went really well ive heard. Klug is a tweener who can move back out and in. Not much of a solid DT. Marks and Casey will still start while Martin and Canty are rotational. We inner change our D-line so much during games it really doesnt matter who starts the game.

No, we did the same thing with Jason Jones and look how it turned out. Klugs strengths are getting after the QB as a pass-rushing DT. Move him to the edge and he'll disappear. Klug has 10.5 sacks in 2 years, as a 5th round pick.. that's not bad. He needs more playing time, he's a situational pass-rusher and should be exactly that.

Klug is better at beating blockers than Jones

As stated earlier we won't have Canty and Marks both and may not have either and there is no way Klug gets cut at this point. We have this thing called training camp.

According to the interview Munch said they would look to sign before they cut and that is exactly how things should be done. There is ZERO reason to cut Hutch, Amano or really anyone before a replacement is signed. If you can get the under the CAP you can go to camp and make the cuts from there. You never know who is going to get hurt. Obviously if they can pen an OG in FA we would see Hutch or Amano get cut at that time.

I bet the titans do what they can to sign Marks. Dont look for Canty to sign to FA starts. For him its still about the money. If his agent is smart they will wait til a team misses on a DT in free agency and come after him with some money. Right now he has the jags, titans, chiefs, and packers looking at him. He will wait for something else to come along.

Otto and Hawkins will be tough to cut. Otto in particular if we do cut Hutch and Amano as that would be a lot of OL to replace in one offseason.
